Greetings family,

Today I want to talk about something I struggled with for a long time, longer than I’d like to admit. And that is : Being true to myself.

Especially when I was younger, I always tried to mold myself into someone I wasn’t just to fit in, be liked, or even feel accepted. And I know I’m not the only one who has struggled—or is still struggling with this.

And the funny thing is, trying to please everyone didn’t make things easier. It made everything heavier.

The moment things began to change was when I let go of what others thought and started moving in a way that was authentic and true to myself.

This was the mental shift I made, I stopped asking, “Will everyone like this?” and I started asking, “Is this honest?”

That shift was freeing because my focus was no longer on pleasing people, but on doing what was true to me.

Because here’s the truth: it’s impossible to please everyone. They literally crucified a perfect man.

So if perfection couldn’t satisfy everyone, neither will the performance of it.

Once I accepted that, I stopped shrinking. I showed up more fully and I finally started going after the things I actually wanted—without needing permission.

When you embrace who you are, something powerful happens: You stop repelling yourself to attract approval. And instead, you begin attracting the right people. The ones who resonate. The ones who accept you as you are. The ones who you don’t have to perform for.

That’s where freedom lives. And that’s where momentum begins.

Be who God made you to be. Embrace who you are, release who you think you need to be to please others, and pursue what you want—without apology.

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,
    before you were born I set you apart;

JEREMIAH 1:5 NIV

Once again I am grateful to have you here on this journey with me.
We’ll talk again soon.
Much love,

Cedric Turakira
